Ce formateur permet de pratiquer l'injection intramusculaire, comme cela se fait généralement lors de la vaccination. Le modèle peut être utilisé comme entraîneur de vaccination, mais aussi comme entraîneur d'injection IM normal et comme entraîneur d'injection sous-cutanée.

L'entraîneur peut être bouclé puis simule un bras humain. Une anatomie de l'épaule simulée et facilement palpable sert de repère pour la ponction. L'arrière du formateur est résistant à la perforation afin qu'il n'y ait aucun danger pour le «patient».

L'injection peut se faire avec des aiguilles et des seringues normales, l'injection de liquide est possible. Le modèle peut être démonté afin que le liquide puisse être facilement retiré après l'exercice.

Le nouveau matériau donne au bras une sensation réaliste et les sites de ponction ne sont pas visibles, de sorte que plusieurs centaines de piqûres sont possibles avant que le formateur de vaccination ne doive être remplacé.
