This simulation model allows trainees and professionals to practise puncturing the lateral tail vein, as well as blood collection and intravenous injections in rats in a realistic manner – safely, repeatedly and practically.

The model has been specially optimised to replicate the realistic feel and anatomy of a rat's tail, giving learners an authentic feel for the puncture. The vein can be filled with water or artificial blood to simulate different training scenarios.
