Newborn Care and ALS Simulator

This training model was developed to meet the requirements of the American Academy of Paediatrics' Neonatal Resuscitation Programme course curriculum.

It offers a wide range of training options:

Airways, breathing and ventilation
- Anatomical landmarks
- Auscultation of the lungs during ventilation
- Bilateral lung inflation with clearly visible chest rise
- Insertion of an ET tube
- Manual control of ventilation rate and depth
- Positive pressure ventilation
- Realistic chest compressions
- Sellick manoeuvre
- Unilateral chest movement option (collapsed lung and main stem intubation)

Birth abnormalities
- Neural tube defect (meningomyelocele) easy to attach to the back
- Umbilical cord hernia (omphalocele)

Chest drainage
- Practice inserting and caring for a chest drain

Cleaning and nappy changing
- Practice cleaning, bathing and nappy changing
- Waterproof and fully submersible

Gastrointestinal (GI)
- Allows practice of insertion and suctioning with OG/NG tubes

Monitoring
- Various monitors, sensors and electrodes can be applied and connected

Assessment and measurement
- Assess and measure every part of the body (head, umbilical remnant, skin, etc.)

Scenarios
- Create your own high-risk birth, emergency, transport or intensive care scenarios

- Softness and texture of real skin

Suction
- Practice suctioning the nose, throat and stomach

Umbilical cord stump
- Easy to attach and remove
- Made from soft, realistic material

Venous access
- Allows the use of IV catheters or butterfly needles
- IV hand and foot with realistic flashback thanks to pressure system
- Soft, lifelike skin with small-bore tubing for realistic practice

Simulator, replaceable airways (2), bilateral lungs, collapsed lung, functional (patented) umbilical cord, omphalocele, meningomyelocele, hand skins (2), foot skins (2), venous system for hand, venous system for foot, 500 ml fluid bags (2), 3 cc syringe with needle, 25 gauge infusion butterfly needle, 25 ml syringe, artificial blood powder, lubricant, baby powder and transport case.
