Advanced Hemorrhage Control Training for TCCC, TECC & Military Trauma Simulation
The Combat Pelvis & Bilateral Amputation Trainer „Trauma Torsten“ is a high-fidelity tactical trauma simulator engineered for realistic training in the management of catastrophic extremity and pelvic injuries. Designed for military medical training, tactical law enforcement, EMS, and combat casualty care programs, this trainer enables students to develop and validate critical hemorrhage control skills in high-stress operational environments. Featuring bilateral traumatic amputations, multiple independently controlled bleeding sites, and anatomically accurate wound cavities, the trainer delivers an immersive hands-on experience that reinforces rapid assessment, sound clinical decision-making, and effective life-saving interventions.
Designed for Realistic Tactical Trauma Training
Train the management of multiple life-threatening injuries using a single integrated platform:
• Bilateral traumatic lower extremity amputations
• Independent arterial hemorrhage from the left and right legs
• Soft tissue bleeding from the left and right legs
• Actively bleeding penile injury
• Penetrating groin wound with deep cavity for wound packing
• Penetrating thigh wound with deep cavity for wound packing
• Pelvic injury for pelvic binder application
Multiple injuries can be activated simultaneously, allowing instructors to create highly realistic combat and mass casualty scenarios.
Realistic Hemorrhage Response
The simulator responds just as a real casualty would. When applying a tourniquet, tissue bleeding is stopped first; arterial bleeding stops only after the tourniquet has been tightened sufficiently. This allows participants to immediately receive visual feedback on the correct technique and, at the same time, reinforce their understanding of the correct TCCC principles for bleeding control.
The trainer supports realistic practice of:
• Tourniquet application
• Junctional hemorrhage management
• Wound packing
• Direct pressure techniques
• Pelvic stabilization using a pelvic binder
• Casualty assessment and treatment prioritization
Built for High-Intensity Training
Designed for repeated use in demanding training environments, the Combat Pelvis & Bilateral Amputation Trainer supports:
• Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)
• Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)
• Combat Medic programs
• Combat Lifesaver training
• Military medical education
• Tactical law enforcement medicine
• EMS and civilian trauma education
• Mass Casualty (MASCAL) exercises
• Scenario-based team training and skills validation
Key Features
• High-fidelity anatomical design
• Bilateral traumatic amputation model
• Multiple independently controlled bleeding systems
• Realistic wound packing cavities
• Functional pelvic injury for pelvic binder training
• Immediate hemorrhage control response to properly applied tourniquets
• Compatible with commercially available tourniquets and standard wound packing materials
• Rugged construction for repeated field and classroom use
Prepare Providers for the Injuries That Matter Most
Severe extremity trauma and uncontrolled hemorrhage remain the leading preventable causes of death in combat. The Combat Pelvis & Bilateral Amputation Trainer provides instructors with a realistic, durable, and highly effective training platform for teaching the lifesaving interventions that make the greatest difference on the battlefield and in tactical prehospital medicine. From rapid hemorrhage control and wound packing to pelvic stabilization and casualty management, this simulator prepares providers to perform confidently when seconds count.
